Terms of Use

Agreement
These terms govern your use of WriteArena. When you press Generate, you agree to these Terms and the Public Arena Data Use terms linked in the product. If you do not agree, do not submit writing to an arena.
What WriteArena does
WriteArena sends the same resolved writing task to multiple AI models, presents outputs without model labels, records your comparisons, and uses eligible comparisons to calculate writing benchmarks. AI output can be incorrect, biased, or unsuitable. You remain responsible for reviewing anything you use or publish.
Your content
You retain whatever rights you have in prompts and drafts you submit. You confirm that you have the right to submit them and that they do not contain unlawful material, credentials, highly sensitive personal information, or content that infringes another person’s rights.
License needed to operate the arena
You grant WriteArena a worldwide, non-exclusive, sublicensable, transferable, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, transform, analyze, compare, display, distribute, and otherwise use submitted content, generated outputs, revisions, and evaluation signals to operate, secure, research, improve, publish, and commercially license WriteArena datasets and benchmarks as described in Public Arena Data Use.
Fair use of the service
Do not automate submissions, resell model access, evade limits, manipulate rankings, scrape other users’ content, probe for secrets, or use WriteArena as a general-purpose free model proxy. We may throttle, quarantine, exclude, suspend, or remove activity that threatens the service or the integrity of its data.
No warranties
The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent allowed by law, WriteArena disclaims warranties of accuracy, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. WriteArena is not professional legal, medical, financial, or other regulated advice.
Changes and contact
Material changes require acceptance on a future Generate action. Questions or deletion requests can be sent to privacy@writearena.ai.
